𝐀 𝐲𝐞𝐚𝐫 𝐚𝐠𝐨, 𝐈 𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐰 𝐮𝐩 𝐚 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐧 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐡𝐨𝐰 𝐆𝐞𝐧𝐀𝐈 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐀𝐮𝐭𝐨𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐦𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐥𝐲 𝐟𝐢𝐭 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧 𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐞 𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐬𝐲𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐬. The industry buzz was at an all-time high, promising 100% value and immediate transformation. But here’s the catch: many were building on what I call “regenerative data loops.” These were models designed to analyze and generate insights, yet they often fell short in delivering measurable business outcomes.

𝐖𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐞 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐀𝐈 𝐬𝐮𝐦𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐳𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐦𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐚𝐬𝐞𝐭𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰𝐥𝐞𝐝𝐠𝐞 𝐛𝐚𝐬𝐞𝐬, 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐲 𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐚 𝐜𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐩𝐢𝐞𝐜𝐞: defining real, trackable value. It’s easy to assume that if people are using AI, they’re benefiting from it, but proving that value? That’s a different story.

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐂𝐡𝐞𝐜𝐤:

Automation is the unsung hero, it doesn’t just pull data but orchestrates it, feeding it into your AI systems so that insights can flow downstream efficiently. Much like how the role of a data scientist evolved, we now need to take an automation-first approach to business intelligence.
