Every day, youโ€™re leaving behind data, clicks, searches, purchases, and preferences. Companies collect this information, remove your name or email, and call it โ€œ๐€๐ง๐จ๐ง๐ฒ๐ฆ๐ข๐ณ๐ž๐.โ€ Sounds safe, right? Yet, what happens next should make you think twice.

๐‡๐ž๐ซ๐žโ€™๐ฌ ๐ญ๐ก๐ž ๐๐ž๐š๐ฅ: even when your personal information is stripped out, your behaviors, patterns, and choices remain. This โ€œ๐ง๐จ๐ซ๐ฆ๐š๐ฅ๐ข๐ณ๐ž๐โ€ data is incredibly valuable for training AI systems, and most of the time, youโ€™ve already agreed to it without realizing it.

Anonymized or cleaned data often falls into a legal gray area. While companies claim itโ€™s free of personal identifiers, vague policies or partnerships can allow even more data to be touched than you might expect. For example:

Even well-intentioned anonymization can raise questions about how much of your digital footprint is indirectly exposed when datasets are linked or shared across systems.
