It is often said that ‘Life imitates art’ —Oscar Wilde

Take this famous painting for example “A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte” and see how this amazing piece of art was created from dots of paint on a canvas using a form of art called Pointillism.

It reminds me of how in a way #digitaltransformation happens over time, one dot, one perspective added repeatedly over time.  Or what if you take a #automation for example, and create an automated process for one person, then another, and continue to iterate?
Over the course of a few years, do you think a picture may start to form?
What if you were to step back and put a name to that picture within your organization, could it be considered digital transformation or maybe a more digital cultural change?
#Pointillism is defined as a style of painting in which dots and touches of different colors are put together to be mixed by the eye of the observer.

Then maybe digital transformation can be defined as a style of technology enablement in which automation and digital savviness utilizing different areas or sources of data within a business or organization are brought together to be an #agentofchange.

Or we can just call it Digital Pointillism
