Do you ever find yourself questioning random things like… Why did so many people use the right door handle and not the left?

1. Is it because the majority of people are right-handed?
2. Maybe that door is used more since the lock is on that same side?
3. Is it due to people normally walking on the right side?

We may never know the real answer, but these same questions are ones we run into while working in automation as well. We have to ask “why” something is or isn’t, or ask a random question just to see if there is some kind of variation. Maybe in the case of this random door, what if all of a sudden the people living here have children and change their process to incorporate strollers… I bet that the left door would get more use, and therefore we end up with a new variable.
