I was looking for an visually simple way to understand the stages of AI. There are a lot of conversations in the AI space at the moment. I have talked with a few groups now that have shown a lot of confusion around how to gain access to an AI, as well as how to manage it.
My thought is that businesses who want to use AI in the future, need to have their business processes defined and already using automation. If this is already in place then yes an AI could be added, and it potentially could run these same processes without human intervention.
Do I think RPA is the best platform for this? That is open for debate.
What I do know is AI alone is not a singular solution. AI or any intelligence requires logic, patterns, and critical thinking to be successful. Therefore if you are not using RPA, and not already automating business processes in some way. How can you expect an AI to work if it has nothing to go off of?
Please note the above is just something I have been thinking about and could be completely wrong. Although I do think it’s an interesting topic and would love to chat with others about it.
