Looking at this chart from IoT Analytics with my added overlay, I initially had concerns that political elements would skew some data points.

However, upon review, the economic concerns, particularly around AI, really stand out.

Focusing on the ๐ฅ๐š๐ญ๐ž ๐ฆ๐š๐ฃ๐จ๐ซ๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ, itโ€™s clear that factors like data, climate, elections, and sustainability are playing major roles. Thereโ€™s a lot of potential anxiety brewing in this group, especially with the uncertainty about how these forces will interact.

As for the ๐ž๐š๐ซ๐ฅ๐ฒ ๐ฆ๐š๐ฃ๐จ๐ซ๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ, weโ€™re seeing a lot of technology in the mix, though I highly doubt the focus here is on GPUs or chatbots. What this tells me is that a major consolidation of technology is coming. Whether itโ€™s from companies like Meta building more integrated devices (like their new glasses) or through massive acquisitions, something big is on the horizon.

This group is always fascinating to watch. With AGI fading slightly and OpenAI still very much in the public’s mind, it’s great to see automation getting traction again. From my experience, AI infrastructure is a hot topic, new chipsets are coming, and I believe digital twins powered by synthetic data are going to drive some groundbreaking innovations.

And then there are thoseย ๐ญ๐ž๐œ๐ก ๐ž๐ง๐ญ๐ก๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ข๐š๐ฌ๐ญ๐ฌ and innovators in or around the startup space. AI applications are exploding; there are probably hundreds, if not thousands, emerging every day. Conversational AI is taking things to the next level, like Google’s ML project that turns any post into a podcast conversation between two AI avatars. Things are only going to get more intense as this develops.

Finally, weโ€™re seeing IoT applications make their appearance. I expected this sooner, but now that itโ€™s here, itโ€™s going to be transformative. Think about finely tuned, grounded data tied to devices that not only learn your habits but anticipate your needs. The downstream effects of that will be profound, hold onto your seats.

This convergence of AI, renewable energy, and policy isnโ€™t just a trend, itโ€™s a power shift. Those who are ready to embrace it will thrive, while others risk being left behind. Itโ€™s time to focus on whatโ€™s next.
