A multi-agent framework involves multiple agents working together to manage data flow and processes within an organization, or enterprise. These agents can be autonomous, handling tasks independently, or professional, acting as expert agents that provide trusted (SME) Subject Matter Expert information. Ontology helps understand the relationships and context of data, while taxonomy organizes this data into categories for better management.
In my opinion, an Autonomous Enterprise leverages multi-agent systems to streamline operations and improve decision-making. In this context, multi-agent systems refer to a collection of AI agents that work together to perform tasks and provide insights based on each agent’s roles, and objectives. In this non-agentic version, these agents interact, and collaborate with human users, in this example “Emily”, a marketing manager, to assist in daily activities. The AI co-pilot, “Max”, provides a dashboard with key insights, task recommendations, and enterprise data. Max uses this data to suggest revised workflows and campaign strategies, ensuring alignment with company goals (OKRs and KPIs). The collaborative effort between humans and AI agents is crucial for the success of the Autonomous Enterprise.
𝐇𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐢𝐬 𝐚 𝐒𝐮𝐦𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐲, 𝐭𝐨 𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐩 𝐛𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐤 𝐝𝐨𝐰𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐥𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐬:
1. Emily begins her day by checking the dashboard provided by Max.
2. Max uses enterprise data to suggest revised workflows and campaign strategies.
3. Max identifies bottlenecks and recommends actions to address them.
4. Emily interacts with the data, teaching the AI agents her preferences and methods.
5. Max collaborates with other AI agents to refine strategies and ensure alignment with company goals.
6. Emily has a hunch that something is off with the data.
7. She consults the expert marketing agent for deeper analysis.
8. The expert agent identifies a newly high-performing region.
9. This new information is updated in the system for all agents.
10. Emily and the agents collaborate to adjust strategies based on the new data.
11. The expert agent uncovers new insights, validating Emily’s hunch.
12. This collaboration demonstrates the value of human intuition in AI-driven processes
