Off-camera in a recent talk, I met with Andreas Welsch who asked me an interesting question.

Andreas Welsch – “Doesn’t your Focus Create your Reality”?

Doug Shannon – In a way it does, however, your reality is not always going to be someone else’s. Furthermore, if your reality is one that embraces its followers, provides value, and considers other people’s inputs, priorities, and goals then in a way yes.

“Your focus can create, not a reality but an environment that embraces change.”

An organization’s culture is weak when it is siloed to the point where the people in those silos work against one another and focus on themselves. Alternatively, an organization’s culture is strong when its people work with and for each other.

This is what #automation, #digitaltransformation, and a #mindsetchange can create as an #agentofchange
