Google is on a cleanup mission, targeting inactive accounts—Gmail, Google Photos, Calendar, and Docs.

This will start on December 1. If your digital world involves Gmail, Google Photos, Calendar, or Docs, this heads-up is just what you need.

Why the move? Google’s reinforcing security, addressing potential vulnerabilities in inactive accounts.

Take action: If you’ve received the ‘clean-up’ email, step into your accounts by December 1. Spread the word to friends and family. And for parents who’ve set up accounts for their kids, a friendly reminder to log in again. It’s always a great idea for companies to take this type of action; however, I thought to post on it since this will not be the last time and not only Google will be taking these kinds of security actions.
