Calling out from the crowd! In the ever-evolving world of automation, I keep crossing paths with many who are either embarking on the journey, feeling exasperated, and even those who’ve given up only to realize automation is an absolute must, giving it another shot with a different vendor.
Interestingly, my ventures across the United States and Europe have shown me one undeniable truth: regardless of our origins or business backgrounds, we’re all encountering similar challenges and outcomes.
So, what’s the common thread that seems to be propelling many of us and the communities and companies we support? I can tell you from what I’m seeing, It’s “people” and “company culture”!
Now, let’s tackle this together, shall we? Here are three key steps to address the issue:
1️⃣ Let’s shift our mindset as leaders and prioritize people and interactions over tools and processes. It’s all about the human touch! Furthermore, it’s also about grounding the belief that no “one tool” will solve all of your issues, just cause you purchased it.
2️⃣ Cultivate an environment where purpose thrives, empowering individuals to be bold, question everything, embrace failure, and openly discuss those failed attempts, with a team or company of like minded individuals. Through retrospection, solutions and valuable insights can be found, and by doing so drives fulfillment and engagement!
3️⃣ Remember, cultural change isn’t imposed by leadership alone. It happens when the people—employees and their leaders—are actively involved in the automation journey. Bring everyone to the table, and interact with them on the journey! SODOTO – See one, Do one, Teach one.
