When you thought you could not take one more catchphrase or a made-up word.

I present to you all.

◽ Phygital ◽

Phygital bridges the gap between the physical world and the digital. In other words, it’s a type of mixed medium or reality where one side is the physical world, let’s say a device, or it could be the #metaverse and a completely digital experience.
The other side is the physical world we live and interact in. The objective is to bring the best parts of the people or customer experience into the digital realm and vice versa.

For phygital to be successful, or to find its niche. Many factors will come into play. The majority will be around the human or #people element.

[Engagement] – How does it help or work to encourage interaction between people?
[Low barrier to entry] – Is it instant or does it have little to no barriers?
[Ease of Use] – Can it be connected at ease and without delay or latency, and ultimately can a person engage it with others without the need for training or being upskilled to utilize this tool or technology?

There is also so much more in this phygital space. We can talk to Digital twins, we can talk to data mesh, Ai Fabric, and yes even augmented reality since it sits in the realm too. However, when we do. We lose some people, some employees, and lots of leaders.

So going back to why do we keep seeing new words, and phrases… It’s all because we are trying to find a way to communicate with most and not some. Upskilling workers and yourself can be done one on one. This massive global digital savvy cultural change, however, has to empower most of all and not a select few.
